RADIATE \ Ra” di* ate \,vt
Students fall into different stages of commitment and involvement
in our ministry here at RADIATE. Our goal is to
move students from the “community” onto the “playing
field.”
I Corinthians 13:11
“When I was a child, I talked like a child. I
thought like a child. I reasoned like a child.
When I became a man, I put my childish ways behind
me.”
(1)
The “Community” Student – A possibly casual spectator
of what is happening in the stadium. This step
is designed to get student’s attention and bring
them into the stadium and turn them into a “casual
fan.”
(2) The “Casual Fan” Student
– A fan of this ministry and occasional attendee
who has received Christ as Savior and Lord but
has not made a strong commitment to growth and
discipleship. Our goal is to encourage the “casual
fans” to keep coming and gradually lead them into
deeper spiritual growth. From here, we strive
to make this person into a “season-ticket holder.”
(3) The “Season-Ticket Holder”
Student – A regular attendee who is growing; a
student who is being discipled in Sunday morning
Bible Study and preferably Plugged-In, seeking
to live in the daily disciplines of scripture
and walk in faith. The final step is to turn this
person into an active “player.” Our goal is to
help these students discover their gifts and talents
and take them to the next level of ministry.
(4) The “Player” Student - A
player on our team who serves in Burnt Hickory
Student Ministry. Our goal is to take the passion
they have for Christ and help them show other
students what Christ has done and is doing in
their life. These are the students who are truly
making a difference on their campus and are growing
as leaders in the body of Christ.
